Free Color follows Carlos Cruz-Diez, one of the 20th century’s seminal thinkers in the field of color, on his ultimate quest: freeing color from form. Directed by Alberto Arvelo, this documentary is an intriguing conversation on the boundaries of color, the relationship between art and science, and a journey into the creative process of an artist whose creativity, inventiveness, and imagination knew no boundaries.

The film will be on view on March 25, 2022, at the Cinema du Musée and available online from March 16 onwards (accessible in Canada only).
